1. The Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival

Enjoy pumpkins, games and great food at the Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival this October. Bring family members of all ages during the week and enjoy hayrides, corn mazes, the ghost ship or the haunted house; if you need more fall fun, weekend visits include zombie paintball wagon rides, midway rides, Frozen Funland and more!

2. Fall Harvest Festival

3. Covered Bridge and Arts Festival

Situated in the beautiful surroundings of Knoebels Amusement Resort, the Covered Bridge and Arts Festival celebrates the arts with nearly 350 crafters, live entertainment, games, more than 25 vendors with regional delicacies for meals, wagon rides, and scenic guided tours of local covered bridges.

4. Jakes Witch Project

Enjoy 20 miles of multi-use trail systems, live music, food and drinks at the 1st Annual Jakes Witch Project, Northwestern PA’s Premiere Mountain Bike Festival.  Hiking, camping, water sports, RV’s and mountain bikes will all be showcased at the event along with the best of Straub Brewery!

5. Mifflinburg Oktoberfest

Attendees can watch exciting competitions — like the keg toss and mug lift — as well as try out their new dance moves to some live entertainment. If you’re looking for a little German culture done Pennsylvania-style, why not experience Oktoberfest? Located on the SteelStacks™ campus in Bethlehem, the blast furnaces of the remainder of Bethlehem Steel set the backdrop to this unique event. This free event features authentic German food, beer, and live music.

7. 6th Annual Monster Hunt Race

Break out your sneakers—and perhaps a change of clothing, for this year’s Black Moshannon Monster Hunt. Prepare to embark on an adventurous 5k scavenger race where you must figure out which trail to take by solving clues. Each station is Halloween themed and will help you with the clues, but the rest will be left to you!

9. 43rd Annual Harvest Festival

Join us for a weekend like no other at the farm. It is our 43rd Annual Harvest Festival! Watch and participate in demonstrations of traditional skills and heritage crafts, including spinning, weaving, broom-making, scrapple-making, candle-making, a handmade quilt raffle, and much more! Discover the traditional folk entertainment, good country food, children's activities, handmade quilt raffle, horse drawn wagon rides, and the outdoor brick bake oven.

The Portersville Steam Show provides a large variety of activities for the whole family. Featuring a vintage village, saw mill, cider press, gas engines, farm animals, train rides, steam engines, tractors, steam building, and more, the Fling has something for everyone!

11. Easton Garlic Fest 2017

Vendors will sell it, chefs will cook it, musicians will sing about it, and he air will be sweet with the stink of it at the Easton Garlic Fest 2017. Events include Gastric Garlic People’s Choice Contest, Dangerous Dessert Contest, Farm to Table Iron Chef Cook-Off, over-the-top 3 Mayors Cook-Off, and the exciting First Responders Cook-Off. New this year will be a garlic bites and cocktail pairing, The Big Cheese Wheel tasting, and some hands-on culinary experiences where local chefs will show you how to handle garlic, and you will take home your creations!

12. Pennsylvania Apple & Cheese Festival

The Pennsylvania Apple & Cheese Festival welcomes more than 40 food vendors, and will showcase fine arts & photography shows, musical entertainment, wine and cheese tasting with exciting chainsaw carvings. 13. National Apple Harvest Festival

National Apple Harvest Festival

Located 10 miles northwest of Gettysburg, the National Apple Harvest Festival began more than 50 years ago with the Adams County Fruit Growers Association. With six stages and demonstrations— including chainsaw carving, a birds of prey display, and Native American dancing — the festival has grown significantly in recent years. Apple butter made hot from the kettle, applesauce made from scratch, and apple fritters are available for visitors to taste.

14. Johnny Appleseed Festival

Relive the history of the great logging boom era this weekend. The skills of old are the timbersports competition of today. The same competitive spirit of the lumberjacks of yesteryear is still very much alive at the 12th Annual Johnny Appleseed Festival.

15. Houston Pumpkin Festival

The Houston Pumpkin Festival is a three-day community tradition held annually that features family fun for all ages, including; more than 175 food and craft vendors, music and entertainment, children's games and activities, a parade, and many pumpkin-related contests.

16. Fort Ligonier Days

This spectacular fall festival commemorates the key strategic battle of the French and Indian War at Fort Ligonier. Battle reenactments, 150 juried craftsmen, specialty foods, entertainment, a huge parade, and a performance by the U.S. Marine Corps Band are just a few of the highlights.

17. Murder at the Boarding House-Murder Mystery

There has been a murder at the boarding house! Go back in time to 1892 and try to solve the mysterious “Murder at the Boarding House.” Interview suspects, get to know them as the mystery unravels, and try to solve the murder before it’s too late!

18. Fall Pumpkin Fest Parade

One of Conneaut Lake’s most popular events, the Pumpkin Fest Parade offers fall community fun for the whole family! You’ll see the best of the area’s diverse community groups and entries from the surrounding Northwest Pennsylvania region. The event is filled with floats, bands, drill teams, beauty queens, fire trucks, clowns, Zem Zems, and much more.

19. Fear ‘N’ Beer Brewers Fest

Fear "N" Beer is Altoona’s newest horror-themed craft beer festival! The festival offers live music, food, vendors and Halloween fun! Proceeds will benefit Mending Hearts Animal Rescue.

20. Chambourcin Weekend on the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail

While the eight Lehigh Valley Wine Trail member wineries produce many types of grapes, the Chambourcin grape is the one variety you can find at all of locations. Make your way to Chambourcin Weekend and visit the wineries along the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail for exclusive tastings, live entertainment, vineyard tours and offerings throughout the weekend.

21. Stone Homes Tour

Enjoy a self-driving tour at “Tales and Trails: from Log to Stone on the Rural Frontier,” and visit five historic stone homes through the Mercersburg and Welsh Run areas, including the Irwin Harrison house, a Welsh-style Duffield House. Each home is filled with facts of years gone by and unique furnishings to inspire visitors. All proceeds from the event go toward building a bake oven on Conococheague Institute’s grounds.

22. The Great Pumpkin Carve

Each year at the Great Pumpkin Carve, more than 60 carvers gather to sculpt, saw, and chisel giant pumpkins by hand — some weighing up to 400 pounds — before crowds of enthusiastic onlookers. There are also hayrides, food vendors, and much more fall fun!

23. Ghost Stories at the Old Jail

Explore paths not open during the regular tour and walk the same paths as centuries of prisoners and guards at the historic Old Jail. This jail, which held the record for the longest continuously operating jail in Pennsylvania, will be home to an evening of ghost stories and legends of the area.
